Phyllis advises Foresite Capital on a wide range of legal matters.
Previously, Phyllis was Deputy General Counsel of CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, where she led the corporate governance, strategic and commercial transactions, privacy and intellectual property functions. Prior to joining CSAA, Phyllis was Vice President, Corporate Legal Affairs, of Dolby Laboratories, Inc., first leading the legal work for Dolby’s 2005 IPO and then focusing on Dolby’s public company responsibilities, cross-border and domestic acquisitions, and corporate legal needs ranging from employment law to export compliance. Dedicated to bridging the justice gap, Phyllis was also a board member and officer of Legal Access Alameda (2018-2023), which provides free legal services to low-income clients in Alameda County. Before that, she was a transactional and securities partner for Farella Braun & Martel LLP. Phyllis received a B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations from Pomona College and a J.D., magna cum laude, from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
